Background
I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY26311) specializing in couples and individuals working on their relationships. I provide therapy, parenting help and private consultation for individuals, couples and groups.
I have a doctorate in psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and a BA from Smith College. Originally, I am from New Jersey and Massachusetts, and have lived in the Bay Area since 2003.
Outside of my practice, I am a partner, a parent, a daughter, a sister, a writer and a fan of food, fitness and friends.
I communicate in direct and authentic ways,
with humor, playfulness and care.
Approach
My training prepared me to understand the psycho-babble. But, that is not what our sessions will feel like. Our relationship will feel open and genuine.
I am a real person, and I face the challenges and struggles common to all of us on the planet.
I will be with you every step of the way, supporting you to be the person that you want to be and to create the life that you want to live.
I use an approach called AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy.) This technique is based on the notion that we are hard-wired with the capacities to heal and to thrive. Using elements of neurobiology, somatics, relational and attachment-oriented therapies, we will unlock your innate drive towards growth and transformation by paying close attention to your feelings, needs, hopes and strivings.
